Reston, VA - Effectively using and integrating Spring and Hibernate will be the topic of three presentations given by Near Infinity's Chief Architect, Scott Leberknight, at the Spring Experience 2006 Symposium and several upcoming No Fluff Just Stuff Symposium tour stops.

Spring/Hibernate Integration will focus on creating infrastructure to manage sessions and transactions and using lazy-loading in a clean and elegant manner.

Spring/Hibernate Integration Patterns, Idioms, and Pitfalls will cover using Spring and Hibernate to avoid tedious and repetitive infrastructural code.

Hibernate in Action will focus on the complexities of using Hibernate as part of an overall application architecture.

"Both Spring and Hibernate are powerful Java tools that can really simplify application development and reduce time to market, but to use them well developers must first understand how they work," Scott said. "I'm looking forward to getting out on the road, talking with other Java developers about how integrating these technologies can make their programming lives much easier."

Scott will speak at three stops on the No Fluff Just Stuff Symposium tour: September 29 - October 1 in Boston, Massachusetts; October 6 - 8 in Atlanta, Georgia; and November 3 Ð 5 in Reston, Virginia. He will also speak at the Spring Experience 2006 Symposium December 7 Ð 10 in Miami, Florida.

Scott has been developing enterprise and web applications for over 10 years and has been using Java and related technologies since 2000. He joined Near Infinity in 2002. His main areas of interest include object-oriented design, system architecture, and frameworks of all types, including Spring, Hibernate, and Ruby on Rails. Scott holds a B.S. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech, and an M. Eng. in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland.
