Reston, VA - Near Infinity Software Engineer Jason Harwig will present "Unobtrusive JavaScript" at the No Fluff Just Stuff Northern Virginia Software Symposium in Reston, Virginia, April 28-30.

"JavaScript is in a renaissance, the primary drive being the popularity of AJAX," Harwig said. "But, with this renaissance came a bit of a mess. More and more scripts being executed on our pages can lead to embedded events and behaviors fighting with each other and crowding 'onEvent' attributes in elements."

Harwig's session will address this issue, focusing on best practices for unobtrusively adding AJAX features to HTML code without conflicting with JavaScript from other developers.

In addition to his work with Javascript, Harwig researches dynamic languages and client-side technologies such as Swing, SWT, Eclipse RCP and 3D programming. He holds a BS in both Computer Science and Information Technology from Marquette University.
