Karen Upton
Director of Human Resources
Karen Upton is the Director of Human Resources for Near Infinity Corporation, where she provides leadership in the areas of resource planning, compensation, benefits, employee development, community outreach, and security. She has developed an employee-focused HR strategy, and has led programs and initiatives which have contributed to the company's high employee retention rate of over 90%.
Prior to joining Near Infinity Corporation, Karen spent twelve years in the field of software training and development, where she managed large-scale training efforts for Lockheed Martin, SAIC, and Northrop Grumman. As a training leader, Karen worked closely with both software development teams and the customer to ensure that successful training programs were developed and deployed to end-users around the world.
A graduate of George Mason University, Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is SPHR-certified by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is a member of the World at Work professional organization, and is a Board Member for the Equal Footing Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on youth development and education.
